Educational Qualification: For UPSC recruitment education qualification for the different posts should be as follows:

For Junior Scientific Officer education qualification should be M.Sc. in Microbiology from a recognized university/ institute.
For Specialist Grade-III (Medicine) education qualification should be recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule/ the Second Schedule/ Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
For Specialist Grade-III Assistant Professor education qualification should be recognized Medical qualification included in the First/ the Second Schedule/ Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.

For Deputy Controller of Mines education qualification should be Degree in Mining Engineering of a recognized University/ equivalent.
