Educational Qualification: For PSC recruitment education qualification for the different posts should be as follows:

For Draftsman Gr.III (Civil)/Overseer Gr.III (Civil)/Tracer education qualification should be passed the SSLC examination or its equivalent examination, National Trade Certificate in Draftsman (Civil) or Surveyor.

For Assistant Engineer/ Head Draftsman/ Assistant Director (Civil) education qualification should be Degree in Civil Engineering from any of the universities in Kerala or a qualification recognized as equivalent.

For Surveyor Grade II education qualification should be Pass in SSLC Examination or possession of any of the other equivalent qualification, ITI (Surveyor Trade) certificate.

For Higher Secondary School Teacher (Jr) Malayalam education qualification should be Master’s Degree, B.Ed. in the concerned subject.

For Electrician/ Pump Operator education qualification should be SSLC or its equivalent, National Trade Certificate or ITI (Electrician) or MMV (Mechanic Motor Vehicle Trade).

For Security Guard education qualification should be VIII standard.

For Boat Keeper education qualification should be Literacy in Malayalam, Tamil or Kannada, must know swimming.
