The Institute of
Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) recruits trained staff for the banking
sector so that all the departments can run smoothly and with proper
co-ordination. Different exams and interviews are conducted for recruiting the

first clear the written exams and then if the same is cleared, the candidate

The Institute of
Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is the institute that acts as a supportive
backup for the banking sector. Candidates appear in the competitive exams
conducted by the IBPS so that they can be qualified for the banking recruitment
as certain recruitment of bank requires the IBPS qualification. The IBPS
filters the trained staff so that the best can be given by the banking sector
by recruiting such trained staff. The Common Written Examinations (CWE) taken
by the IBPS acts as an entrance exam for applying for the recruitment are also
conducted by the bank which has a validity of about 6 months to 1 year. Such
exams are conducted six monthly. At the end of year the CWE is conducted nearly
in September and October month.
The interview
conducted for recruitment may ask you to answer questions such as candidates
have to provide the details of their background. They may ask for you hobbies,
strengths and weaknesses, the other one may be “Why would you like to join our
bank”. You have to be very technical while answering such questions. Candidates
with higher IQ will be able to answer very well. Always carry your application
and supporting documents that may be required by the interviewer as you don’t
have other chance to represent the same. Further after the introductorily round
is completed the interviewer will move towards the questions of your field and
then you will have to answer questions about banking sector. The questions of
current concerns like CRR, repo rate, details regarding share market may be
asked. You may also be asked about the Reserve Bank of India.
